Morning girlie's, how are you all, better than the weather is here I hope,

I have had a bit of a rubbish time just recently, not been gardening (It has got the better of me) as I have had a few days in hospital, I am meant to be resting but having a 12 year old in the house its not always that easy.we were going to do so much this summer holiday but it just hasn't happened .

...on to my card, this month at Sir Stampalot Challenge its a frame up, we want to see a frame somewhere on your project, so here is mine, the stamps are woodware, not sure what the papers are though.

good morning, is it nice out there where you are, I do hope so.

I do realise that I have been a bad blogger, but at this time of the year I have to be outside as we have quite a lot of garden that needs tending, I want to move, and have a bit less, but my boys are so happy here.

my card is made with lots of little stamps ( mainly hero arts) from various sets.

the leaves are a nesti.

and the flower shape is also a nesti.

this month on the Sir Stampalot Challenge we want to see Magical worlds, don't worry it can be as simple as a butterfly like mine.

Now as well as our Birthday it's April Fools Day !! So this means not only a brand new challenge, but we've also got something a bit special lined up with a twist or two.

hope you like my elephant card, I am not sure what the elephant stamp is, I used it when I was at a stampers group. I have coloured him in using distress inks, really into those at the moment. the fronds and leaves are inkadinkadoo.which I have stamped onto the SU canvas stamp, which I love, shame its discontinued.

its my Birthday today, I am 47 sounds bad to me that number! had lots of things planned but have had to cancel quite a few of them due to the snow, but never mind I have been treated very nicely already today.

Good Evening bloggers, all you all feeling Crafty? had a crafty day a week ago with my fabulous Wednesday night group, it was great to all get together at mine, up until then I was feeling a bit low on artistic flair, but those girls just made me get on with it and this is one of the things they made, some of them had already got there Christmas cards made, (I am so jealous) so I gave them the choice. anyway they seemed to like this little one.

everything used is Stampin up apart from using scallop nesties and an odd snowflake here and there!

the card stock is Rich Razzleberry and the patterned papers are love notes.

Just thought I would show you this little tag I made using WINTER POST from Stampin up, I just love this set for all year round as it has the postcard header, which is so useful.

been away for a few days to York my husband and son did the York dungeon's, didn't fancy that so I had a whole day shopping, didn't find any craft shops, no doubt there were some just never fell across them.

Hello Bloggers, are you all having a good week, do hope so.

I have made this for my crafty friend Louise its her Birthday today, she loves everything Autumn especially the colours, loves trees and owls and buttons so I knew that I had to include them somewhere, I think it is quite a fitting card for her.
5 of us crafty girls have all met up for coffee this morning, we have had so many giggles and such a good time hope you enjoyed it Birthday girl, I certainly did.

I have used Sizzix embossing folder fall set. and coloured the raised embossing with distress inks it took a while but I think it was worth it. I have used SU linen thread to make the scalloped edge on the side.

This is something my lovely ladies made on Monday night when I did an SU party, This is as near to a mans card as I get, I hate making Men's cards but really enjoyed making this, I think its suitable for male or female.

just feel there is a bit of a gap top left hand side but buttons where to big as this card only measures 3 1/2" X 2 1/2"

any suggestions welcomed.

The linen thread bow is just hiding the word friends which is stamped from Tiny tags and the pheasant and all the gorgeous leaves and grasses are from the stamp set called AUTUMN DAYS. I have used the small jewelry tag to punch out the tag.
everything on the card is using SU products even down to the inks.

sorry I haven't been around so much still not feeling myself, and have got a poorly boy at home today, hence why I have managed to post something, cant do the hoovering or the dusting makes to much noise!!! Any excuse!!

OK folks so no Diamonds but we have the pearls!

have you ever made a card that you like but know that its not really you. well that's how I feel about this one . I have coloured my baubles in Distress inks then gone over them with glossy accents then stuck pearls in, the stamp set is woodware bubble wreath available from Sir Stampalot.

Hope you have all had a good week, mine got a little better as the week went on, but the start was hard, my son settled into secondary school OK ish but then missed the bus on the first evening back as no one seem to tell them which bus they needed to go on, there was no number on the bus and all the buses looked the same, sheer Panic for him, anyway I got a phone call and there were about 10 children in the same situation, not a good start, anyway, I had a little word and the bus company have now put a numbers on each one. Ahh!

I kept seeing covered notebooks and thought I would have a go,

this uses Hero Arts Clear Stamp set called SUNSHINE FLOWERS. card stock is SU and ink is Su chocolate chip. hope you like love chris xx

Hello Girls, Sorry I haven't been to visit you this last few days, on my way now!!

I have just got back form a trip around Yorkshire, we have been to Leeds Armories, which made me yawn a bit but the boys liked it, so that's all that mattered, then we went on to Whitby and Robin hoods Bay, now there my mouth stayed closed, I didn't yawn once it was great.

I am in love with this camper van stamp, hope you like it too, I just cant stop using it, and this Christmas its going have Fairy lights on it, well why not! I know its a bit on the Bright side, but occasionally I am Bright!! Honest!

Last year I forgot to give My friend Jo her Birthday card, (I am a bit dilatory) I didn't forget her Birthday though.

so this year I thought I would make up for it by giving her last years as well!!

thank goodness her name isn't too long like Esmeralda or Constantine, just having a random moment !!

Good Evening all you crafty people, have you had a crafty day, I do hope so.

This is something I made as a demonstration model for Sir Stampalot, In other words I had to give it up!!, every one say arr!! I may treat myself though it would look so nice sat on my untidy desk. the ribbon box comes in a flat pack, If I sold quite a few of them I could have one of my very own, (so if you fancy one just remember to say you saw it on Chris's blog tehe!!) I painted it and added paper and of course those cuttlebug quilled flowers as seen on the last 2 posts, it is made by kaiser craft and I got it from good old Sir Stampalot.

Here is my take on it, I have used Tilda October Afternoon papers, and yes I told you I would show you what that cuttlebug quilling set does, these are all flowers and border made using 2 different setschrysanthemum and Daisy. click on the picture on the previous post and it will take you there. the edges around the circle are also the quilling set just used as a border.

Yes I know, I can't believe it either!!

I'm back for a while, fed up with the decorating so having a few weeks off! YIPPEE!

Also had my brother and his wife with 3 children under 7 so been quite busy one way and another.

Just a very simple card to share with you this evening a bit of hessian which I begged of my my friend Fleur of a

"passion for craft" (check her out if you haven't already) some October afternoon papers and a cuttlebug quilled flower which are so easy to do, I just love making them. I know they are a little pricey, but you can make big flowers small flowers even tiny teeny flowers, I have another project on the go with lots of flowers and will show you later next week.

Hello out there in blog land, If you are coming to my class tomorrow at Sir stampalot this is one of the things you will be making, you are maybe thinking that you have seen this one before, you would be right, but it really is quite different, same box with easel just a different layout. I have shrunk just about everything including the whole row of cottages stamp. hope you like .

just a little something else to show you which I have photographed this evening , we just found this wasps nest in my sons play shed, how can something so awful as a wasp make something as intricate as this.

Sir Stampalot Challenge, Punch It.

Hello guys, yes its that time again the Sir Stampalot Challenge, can you believe that a month has passed so quickly, I have been a bad blogger, as some of you know I have been without my laptop, But its mended now so YIPPEE, I cant believe how I have missed it.

But you will have to bare with me as this time of the year I am trying to keep on top of a large garden, and I am stupid enough to be decorating as well at the moment.

Anyway the challenge is Punch it.

here I have used just one Martha Stewart punch loop edger I have laid it down using the pink card and stood it up using the turquoise card.

the flower I have made using ribbon.

the words are MSE m107 friends always

the scallop is cut out with the big shot on chipboard.

and the swirls are magenta chipboard which I covered with my paper which took me forever,with lots of small files and emery boards.

I can not tell you what my papers are as I only had a few bits left if anyone knows can you tell me.

Hi there out there in blog land, today I have been married 25 years so we are celebrating our silver wedding and what a fabulous day its been, I am writing this with quite a few drinks inside me and I don't normally drink, hic! so who No's what it will say in the morning.

The stamp on this card I just had to have, for those of you that know me would realise that the 2 ladies on the front were much like my self in appearance with their fabulous tiny waists, (if there had been a political party for sarcasm a fortnight ago I would have voted for it!) No seriously, as a child Mum made all our clothes so I was used to seeing sewing patterns like this, in fact she still has them and I am hoping she is going to let me incorporate one into a card along with the stamp, which I have loved using as it is so different.

I am still laptopless (ooh err) so struggling to get on a computer so not been commenting as much as I would like to, sorry guys.

Hi Everyone,I'm back, I'll try not to bore you with Holiday pictures though!!

Yes We have been away cruising the Med , a special Holiday for us with our silver wedding in mind, even though we don't celebrate it until the 18Th of May, couldn't go then as our son has his Sat's and we weren't allowed to take him out of school then.

We had a reasonable time, though it never entered my mind that I would suffer from motion sickness, so that was a bit of a shock the plus side of it is that I have lost 3 lbs I usually put on at least half a stone when away, so that's a bonus.

I didn't do any blogging on board ship as it was a ridiculous price (50p a minute) and I just felt they were being greedy so I went without for a whole fortnight, I was lucky enough to meet up with a very special Lady who I follow that lives in Gibraltar,

I will tell you more about that another day.

I think this is one of the quickest cards I have ever done, its very simple as you can see hope you like, I know its a bit boring but just wanted to say hello.

This card has been hidden away, thought I would bring it out for an airing!

the swirls and tab are done on the cricut using wild card, and the papers I have just cut round to do a thingy with!!!! (its Late and I have man flu even though I'm a woman I'm trying to get out of cleaning our Bearded Dragons cage out!

no seriously I do feel really grot.) I can't remember what they are maybe someone out there will let me know.

if you look closely at the tab on the side you can see stitch marks this is off wild card and I love it.

The cherries I have done 3 time with glossy accents its built them right up.

Well I finally did it, could I heck as like get a picture to upload, I don't know if you guys out there have had the same problem, but blog land has been a bit naughty today, I could get text but no pictures later on today, so no nice cards of yours to look at, its still hit and miss.

This is a card that I finished making at my demo

which ended up with tea stains on, as did 2 others, Nick in the office at Sir Stampalot kindly cleaned it up for me, I wouldn't have known where to start, Thanks Nick.

My song title was easy this time having an 11 year old in the house its a song that I hear quite alot!!

Good Evening every one out there in blog land hope you have had a nice day and have been able to get a couple of crafty hours in somewhere.This is a card for a very special lady called Betty, who likes you to make something that she hasn't seen before, well I realise that image has been around a while, but hopefully she will like what I have done with it, the shrunk flower and the buttons.
The colour will not seem to come out correctly on my camera, I seem to have crimson colours that don't match. In real life it is alot better.

just a quick post tonight using a couple of Cd's to make an easel card it seems to have taken a while, and I wished I had done it just with card, as it is a bit top heavy, like other things in our house (not bragging, complaining !!!)

Good Evening all you lovely crafters out there.

So here we are 1st March with just a glimmer of spring on its way, lets hope so.

Yesterday I spent a lovely day with a very special friend doing a craft class at Sir Stampalot along with eight very lovely ladies from Derbyshire who were so much fun, hope you enjoyed yourselves girls, it was a fantastic atmosphere.

back to the recipe folder... while we were away for a crafty weekend I made this (or one similar) with my good friends Fleur and Nicola.

it was quite easy to make using dinner money envelopes joined together .

the papers are daisy bucket and the strawberries are magnolia.

Good Evening all you blog hoppers out there,well its the weekend again can you believe it?

It comes round so quick, I think its something to do with knowing how to fill our spare time!!!

If you're coming to my class at Sir Stampalot tomorrow this is just one of the cards you will be making, the colouring in will be done using the Koh-i-noor pencils which I love.

All stamps are Hero arts and the papers are daisy bucket, which I have been told are not been made any more( let us know if you know otherwise) so if you see them girls grab them.

the hero art button stamp on the right hand side has been stamped then stamped on shrink plastic and placed on top.

The rabbit (which I have shrunk)apple basket and leaves are called Toadstool.

I have done this one for a class at Sir Stampalot it has a lot of lovely goodies on it that they sell,( list down below) but have decided that it will take too long, to much cutting out, so back to the drawing board.

Over at Polkadoodles they are doing a love challenge so I thought I would enter this card
I think she looks a bit sad hence my title.

This is a card that I have done for Sir Stampalot using Mo Manning's Rae with Journal, I wasn't sure about her until I stamped her, but I thought with her ugg boots she would be quite popular for lots of ages, and now I've coloured in I love her.

The background stamp is Hero arts which I stamped whilst having coffee at Fleur's, go and visit her blog A passion for craft its well worth it.

The fence is magnolia.
The flowers hanging down are a Magenta set of stamps called botanicals

Good Morning Guys. Just thought I would show you my icicles from just before Christmas, they are on the back of my house, if you look you can see where the top of my doors are.

I remember Icicles when I was a child but don't ever remember them this long, I measured one at 40",I know its drizzly and horrible today but at least its a few degrees warmer.

Over at at polkadoodles there is a song title challenge this is my first challenge ever so who knows if I'm doing it right!

Buttons and Bows

Good Afternoon out there everyone, and for all those of you who are snowed in isn't it great having some extra craft time!! My sons school is closed today, I'm not quite sure why as we only have an inch of snow, so my plans have not gone quite as expected but never mind I have got a lion I'm going to wrestle with, he is cute so watch this space!!
This flower on the card is done using the cricut and cream shrink plastic shiny side down, You do need a new blade in your cricut or it wont cut, and a newish mat for best results.I cant seem to find the stamp used so I cant tell you what it is, but one of my new year resolutions is to stamp all new stamps in a book and title them so I know what I've got (We'll see!!)

Hello 2010... Cant believe its a new year, a new decade even,a fresh start is always welcome. Hope you all enjoyed your new year celebrations,we did something we haven't done in 12 years we went down to our local village pub and bought the new year in with lots of people who we did know, and lots we didn't, everyone was so friendly and chatty isn't it a shame we don't communicate with those around us the rest of the year as we did on Thursday evening, the world would be a much happier place,(that's what I like about crafters there friendly all year round.)

well today we are going to take the tree down and tidy up put pressies away and try and hang on to the last few hours before my little mate has to go back to school.

Anyway here's a little diary that I covered it was free in a magazine the stamp is penny Black and I cant remember what the papers are.

Good evening everyone out there hows Christmas coming along, has anyone noticed all of the last card titles have had a theme running through them ,the next few cards I'm struggling with as I have with this one!! I've just finished the whole Christmas shopping bit and what a nice feeling it is.Been into town it was very quiet for this time of the year, nearly freaked myself out driving in the snow .While we were there we went to the cinema to see Nativity, this film is going to go down as an all time favorite for me and the two 11 year olds I took. It was just Brilliant if you need to get in a festive mood this is the way to go.

Anyway here's my card all three stamps are off the same set inkadinkado fat birds.I don't think that's its proper name but that's what Janice calls it!

Good Evening Guys, I just thought I would share my snow with you, this is last Friday Morning and my son looking very pleased with him self in the back garden, as school had been cancelled, I took this in my dressing gown and wellies good job we haven't got neighbours!!

this is also a view out into
the fields behind me.

This is just to the side of our place,looking out on Hubby's favourite place the shed!

And just down our lane. Its all right living off the beaten track but you do get snowed in ,and I'm not good at being in one place for a long time. There you go that's just a bit of me.

Oh Christmas Tree

I hope you are noticing a theme running through with my titles ,yes my 3rd post of the day.

This lovely Christmas tree is off the cricut cartridge joys of the season, I think it is my favourite Christmas cartridge, whereas storybook is the best ever cartridge in my opinion, just because it has all the scalloped shapes and fantastic alphabet plus heaps more. I nearly always use it somewhere when preparing classes. still can't go anywhere roads are lethal, hence lots of postings see you later love chris xx

Don't you just love this angel stamp from inkadinkado, well it is one of my all time favourites and good for a quick card, I am also a big lover of the zutter I always think it turns a card into a very small gift.
Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to go out and post my last few things, I was going last Friday but the snow stopped all that, I feel trapped I need rain !!! i really shouldn't say that should I.

Hi guys, have you woken up to more snow this morning, well we have here which is such a nuisance this morning as I was going to a card class this afternoon, and then after the hero arts launch at Sir Stampalot, so lets hope the road clears. as much as I love to see the snow I don't like it when it gets in the way of those special days that you have planned.

Here's a card I prepared earlier using yes those good old Hero arts stamps which I LOVE,

Shrunk Stockings

Here's one I did a while back from a sketch that I saw on a blog somewhere, can't remember where. I have to say it is one of my favorite sketches ever. I thought I would show you as I think the background paper is like swirling snow, and very fitting for today as we have got at least 4''of the stuff. Not very good for taking photos as it seems very dull , yet I have tried.

Well that's the 2nd Christmas craft party I've been to cold stone sober, but hilarious(had to drive) I dressed up as Santa to everyones suprise and yes did all the ho ho ho 's and yet I received goodies. (thanks girls)

here's my card using my new years resolution and that is to use the negative of my die cuts and cricut shapes which is what I have used here. so often they get discarded ,Good word for card makers dont you think. fat birdies are penny black as is sentiment.

well apparently it talks of snow this weekend that will make us feel christmassy won't it girls, I would like to have everything done by Friday (I am beginning to doubt it)then I can just enjoy the run up with my 11 year old son who breaks up on Friday.Just finished my Christmas cards got a few more to write though,I have got to simple ones now such as this one .

Here's a little something I prepared earlier for saturdays big demo day at Sir Stampalot, and what a day it was, it was busy all day the time went so quick it was just unbelievable, thankyou to all you ladies that brought me gifts, cards and lovely nibbles, and for all your lovely comments on the day, I cant remember enjoying doing a demo so much Maybe we will have to ask if we can do a spring one !!Hint hint!!

The boxes I have used are off the Cricut bags tags and boxes and have very simply been covered using my favorite magnolia papers and yes red and green !! The letters are of my favourite cartridge storybook it also has all the scalloped shapes.The greenery is all fresh including the crab apples which are out of my garden.hope you like love chris xx

I just love these hero arts stamps, and of course good old Bazzil papers, I think the winter words are good and swirly ,and yes its red and green again but with a bit of brown.

A bit different for me one of those cards where I stamped the magnolia music (silent night) on the right hand side and really didnt know where I was going with it, anyway I quite think its ok.

the circle is off fabulous finds I have cut it out 4 times and stuck them together to get the depth, the snowfkakes are off the cricut, oh yes and the stamp is a sarah kaye, the stamps to the left are sei which I just love ,very useful .

sorry I haven't blogged lately but still not quite feeling A1, I seem to have got at least 15 cards half started but nothing finished .

just a little reminder on the 5th of December at sir stampalot there are going to be 7 ladies doing demonstraions I'm one of them so come and see me .

If you just want a quick card you can't beat the good old inchies, I have to say I love working with them, You can make them as simple as you like or as difficult as you like, I just can't leave them alone.I have stuck them on to mount board and using the cricut joys of the season cartridge just slotted this branch inbetween.

This is the first card I have made for 5 weeks as I have felt extreemely crappy with a couple of things going on but hopefully there will be lots more cards to come!!

I have missed all those lovely ladies that I spend craft time, with but on thursday I managed to get to sir stamp and had a lovely time, and I came home feeling inspired.

In this card I have used Snowy Joe papers and inkadinkado doggey 98252 the cut out behind him is using the martha stewart floral edge (I call it thre moustache Punch as that what the positive looks like) anyway I love this punch hope you like

So sorry I haven't posted lately, but with one thing and another, A lovely holiday in Devon and Cornwalll for a start though with a very bad back, then when we arrived home after a long journey of 10 hours I became ill, in the next couple of days I found out that I have blood poisoning, anyway all being well I will be demonstating at sir stamp tomorrow.
we have lots to show you so please please come along and say Hi to myself and the amazing crafty Lou, you just have to see this girls stuff its really really good.
